


Our village awaits you with its picturesque narrow lanes, bordered with natural stone walls in the old town centre, its stately farmyards and rustic properties. Day trips: Auer is greatly situated for many unforgettable excursions into the surroundings, as: the Archeologic Museum in Bolzano, hosting the worlds oldest mummy: the "Ötzi". The "Bletterbach"-Canyon, where you can look for fossil traces of prehistoric ages. The lakes and mountain peaks of the Dolomites. But also Lake Garda, Verona (the city of Romeo and Juliette), or Venice are no further than a 2 hours drive towards south.
Hiking – short or long, plane or cliffy. Ora provides beautiful paths and trails, for every claim. No need to use the car. The adventure starts at the house door. Reach the hill of “Castelfeder” (a biotope) or the natural preserve “Trudner Horn”, or many more unique destinations of incredible natural beauty.
Biking: in the plane valley, or - for practiced cyclists - up to the Dolomite's passes. The wide valley offers a well structured web of romantic country roads and side lanes, to almost reach every corner of the area.
Swimming: our cosy house pool, the Thermal Bath of Merano, the fun pools in Bressanone and several lakes in the valley or mountains invite you to great pleasure in the cooling water.
Climbing, jogging, canyoning, rafting, sailing, horse back riding, tennis, golf, mini-golf... only some of the many sports facilities in the area.
Winter. Some good skiing areas are closed by. All the ski areas in southern South Tyrol are approx. 10-15 km distant and reachable by a shuttle bus or by car. You’ll find perfectly prepared slopes for skiers and boarders, great winter nature for cross-country skiers, and the sunshine you came for - on the Italian Alps. Don’t miss the unique circle view from a mountain hut, followed by a tasty traditional South-Tyrolean dish at an alpine restaurant.
